    Hi there

weve just moved over from uk, and our LG telly does not want to tune into anything.

OH says it is an MPEG4 compatible tv... apologies, were not techie minded!!!

we bought a free to air satbox yesterday - still no joy plus one of those rabbit ear things even though i thought these were analogue anyhow??!!

the cable from the dish outside pointing south, is wired inthrough the walls to a socket downstairs, i have the rf out into the in socket on satbox, and rf out of box into telly, but wont tune in.

does anyone know of aservice where someone will come and sort the telly out???? lol! only the scary dvds left now so getting desperate!!!:D:D:D

Try here for your nearest installer.

You might need an attic or outdoor aerial for saorview (Irish digital tv).Plug the aerial you have directly into the tv & do a scan for digital channels, you might get lucky and not need another aerial.

Check all the connections from the dish to the satellite box, connect the cable into the lnb in socket on the box (it screws on).Sounds like you have the cable connected incorrectly. Use a scart or hdmi lead to connect the satellite receiver to the tv,using the rf out gives the worst possible picture.

You will need a terrestrial aerial to receive the Irish channels, and you need to ensure you have selected Ireland in the country menu when tuning the tv to receive them once you have an aerial or rabbit ears installed

You say you have a satellite box, why not connect it to the tv, via either scart or hdmi cable, what make and model is the box exactly.?
