    Hi,

I was thinking of getting the OH a painting of us done from a photograph for Christmas.

Are there artists around the city that do this?

    How much does it cost?

    Cheers

There is a lady in Oughterard who I think does work like this Vanda Luddy - pretty she has a website - on phone so posting links is painful.

I would imagine that using an online service such as Snapfish who print photos onto large canvas would be the cheapest option.

You can do this yourself using free software, look up Gimp. Make the image, then bring it to one of the canvas print companies. There is a guy in the Tesco shopping centre that will print it onto a framed canvas for you. It won't be hand painted but to be honest it's likely to be a better result IMO

With respect to the artists above, Has the OH always wanted a gift like this? if not get something else as well perhaps as it's more a gift for the both of you IMO.
