Tracking profile views on social networking sites

    I joined LinkedIn the other day and notice they have a facility where you can upgrade your account to see who is viewing your profile.
    Is there something similar on Facebook or the other social networking sites? And is it free or is there a cost? I've come across unofficial apps on FB that claim to be able to track wo is viewing your profile but I presume these are BS.

    No, there is not for FB. LinkedIn provide it as a tease to get you to upgrade to one of their paid packages.

    All the FB apps which claim to do this are fakes to lure gullible people into scams.

    I don't use LinkedIn, but I assume their spiel behind it is that you can see what employers are looking at your profile to see if you're attracting the right people or whatever, but for FB that type of functionality is kind of pointless.

    FB currently doesn't allow this metric to be tracked and afaik they've no plans on letting you know who visits your page in the future either.

    LinkedIn will show you exactly who has looked at your profile if you have a paid account
    You can get a reasonable about of info if you have a free one ..

    Handy if you want to know who is poking around :)

    There's no way to see this kind of data on Facebook or Twitter
