    Hi,

I have a 10/100/1000 Switch (on the way) & 10/100 Router, when sending information from one device to another internally on my network will the information go through the gateway 10/100 Router (which assigns the IP's) or do the 2 devices just communicate directly?

PS all will be connected to switch

They will communicate directly once they're both physically connected to the switch
