I'm hoping somebody can help me.... I'm not very tech savvy!

I have a free to air satellite and can watch the same channels in the downstairs living room and front bedroom above.

I want to get another separate service to the back of the house to 2 bedrooms, would prefer if they had separate viewing options in each bedroom but not absolutely necessary at this point.
    What do I need??
    thanks, appreciate any advice.

You would need 2 seperate feeds from your satellite dish going back to them. Your dish may currently have an lnd with 4 inputs so you would just need to run 2 cables from it, if not you would need to get either a new dish with quad lnd or a quad lnb for your existing dish. In addition each bedroom would need a satellite receiver, if your only after the free to air channels you could use an old Skybox for each or else buy an FTA receiver for less than €100 each.

Your dish may currently have an lnd with 4 inputs

Better still, it might have an LNB with 4 outputs. ;)

    Any installer can help you.

However there are some things you should consider:
    1) What make is your current Satellite receiver and are you happy with it?

    2) Do you want the option to record?

    3) Do you currently have all the Irish and UK channels or not, do you want them?

    4) Do you want the installer to supply the box or do you want to go to say powercity and buy one yourself?

    5) Are you paying anyone currently such as UPc or Sky?

    6) How old is you dish (if more than 5 years old probably worth replacing, while he/she visits)

Without this information the installer may not be able to give an accurate price over the phone.

Normally we try recommend installers that are part of a trade body:
    http://www.saorview.ie/trade-login/installers/

    in particular look here:
    http://www.isaa.tv/features.php?county=dublin

Try to get callout rates, hourly rates, length of guarantee and a few quotes say for 2 hours onsite plus parts.
