pc problem

    hi all,

    purchased a refurbished harddrive yesterday and installed fine with xp pro on my pc,
    i used it this morning and all fine until this evening it froze and when i restarted it i could only get the 4 bit resolution screen.
    i had this problem before with other harddrives but on installation but maybe it my pc that the problem.

    any help appreciated

    You might check the graphics drivers.

    Try your manufacturer's website, or look in Device Manager, and try to update them. Computer->Properties->Hardware->Device Manager->Display Adapters->Properties
