I have two terriers. One is elderly that needs sensitive/allergy type food, and also needs to be small biscuits. (I only buy one bag - i.e. the younger dog has to have what suits the older dog) Has anyone done any 'research' on the various dog foods - the prices vary to a HUGE amount depending on whether its a posh brand…

Has anyone done any 'research' on the various dog foods - the prices vary to a HUGE amount depending on whether its a posh brand (Eukanuba/Royal Canin type stuff) - from a quality point of view - Im not looking for el cheapo necessarily - just the best price for the best quality.

(Im in the Naas area)

it used to be whites but they changed the name. it is good quality dogfood with a high meat content. it is a bit cheaper than the big names with almost the same ingredients so i think it is good value.

if you search around on the animal and pets section of boards you will find lots of discussions about different foods.

OP have you checked out skinners? There is a long thread in animal and pet issues forum, a few including myself have tried it and I can say I am very happy with it, the quality and the price. Some of the line is also hypoallergenic which may be helpful considering your sensitive dog.

Awful stuff, wouldnt feed it to my dogs or recommend feeding it. Full of terrible low quality ingredients, hence why its so cheap!!

Again, all those products are very poor quality dog foods and i wouldnt recommend feeding them at all.

i am glad somebody else is pointing out how terrible some of this food is.
this thread is supposed to be about good quality food. it should be ok to point out the poor quality food and question it.

i did ask why people were posting such low quality foods in this thread but my post was deleted.

Posts that were deleted were because it was nothing but bickering between yourself and paddy147.

Myself, and the numerous other users who reported it, weren't impressed by it and it was just turning into personal insults.
