Could anyone tell me what would be the biggest screen in 2012? I am looking to see bond on a nice big one this weekend.

How big is Vue 1 vs iSense vs Cineworld 17(not open I know, still curious).

    Cheers!

Moving this to a new thread as that one was very old.

There's another thread around here somewhere in which we discussed the different measurements, but the short answer is:

Vue Screen 1, 2 and (I think) 5 are the biggest by far. Followed by the Savoy and Cineworld 17 (soon to be even larger). Don't just go on screen size though. Vue might be the biggest, but I often find them a big dark, probably due to the Sony 4Ks they use - I actually I reckon the screens are too big for the digital projectors.

Thanks Sad Professor, so in saying that, could I ask you for your recommendation? Was leaning towards vue, but hopefully they're not too dark, a clear picture is important :D Savoy is big, but would its tech be in the same league as iSense?

For me, nothing beats Savoy One.

It might not be bigger, but it feels bigger for whatever reason. It's kinda low setting, so perhaps not the best for subtitles but otherwise, screenings there just seem more theatrical and I love that.

Point Odeon would be second for me, but only if you get a seat in the front row of the VIP seats. I like Savoy 2 and Screen 9 in Cineworld also, much more than I ever liked Screen 17 in fact (that may change when it goes IMAX).

Adelphi 1 was my favourite, gone since '95 though.
