Something that always perplexed me was how two different employers of mine confused my first name as Roger. They called me by that name on a regular basis. My real christen name isn't close to Roger (couldn't be any different tbh).

Those two employers knew nothing of me, or my past, so couldn't have confused me of someone else (like a family member for instance).

And I'm certain another person in another job called me Roger. Like WTF?

I don't know how they mixed up Tony and Roger.

Does part of your job involve communicating over walkie-talkie?

    Yeah maybe..

But I'm just trying to wonder what does the name Roger represent? Maybe he's a thick bastard, as I was always a bit stoned back then. Doing general op jobs under the influence.

For example - a name like Victoria - would symbolise someone posh.

I love in The Sopranos how the guys would always use a fake name

    "My name is Clarence!"

Just back then? 2.30am threads on what your boss used to call you would suggest the Hawaiian homegrown hay is not something you left in the past ;)

I've actually had a similar problem, except it's people calling me Seamus. But I do look like a Seamus I suppose
