I'm doing an essay about a study, and I need to discuss the generalizability of it? What on earth is this?! And how can I apply it?

    Thanks in advance :)

Do you have any books on research methods? It should be covered in that.

Without context - I'm assuming it's asking if the findings from the study are applicable to real life situations and applicable to all human behaviour (albeit a specific group, sample, population, etc). Agree with the above post - seems to a research designs question.

Was the study in the essay conducted 'in the field' or 'in the lab'? If you give me the full title, I'll be able to pinpoint how to address it exactly :)

Look for 'external validity' in whatever book you're using and your internet searches.
