Here's what happened. The kids somehow got their hands on my track pump, unscrewed the gauge/dial part of it, and took it apart - the loveable little smashers that they are. I put it back together again, but I'm not 100% sure I've lined up the gauge so that it's properly calibrated - there doesn't seem to be anything to go on, other than a visual check that everything looks reasonably symmetrical.

If anyone on here has the same pump, would you mind having a quick look at yours to see if I've done it right?

Inflate a tyre to 100psi with your pump then check the pressure with another borrowed pump or a pressure gauge.

Looks wrong to me. Mine points at the flat edge of the 'B' of 'Bar' at the left end of the scale. Draw a line through the 'P' of PSI and the 'B' of Bar back to the centre of the needle.

You're right, I was off by miles. Does this look more like it? I'd like to get it bang-on, preferably.

Yep, looks pretty good. Now try mp31's calibration suggestion...
