Just to point out that Aertv is now blocked when using some of the commercial VPN providers out there ,
Just saw a post on the locked thread, tvcatchup.com is also blocked so these VPN's services are starting to lose their appeal.

Who's behind Aer Tv and is there ever a chance of it broadcasting on freeview and not just online?

Would be very interested in the emergence of an Irish sports channel, I find it amazing that RTE or TV3 haven't sorted a dedicated one, especially since Setanta was quite popular before it went bust competing for English Premier League rights, but there a massive volume of popular and extremely cheap sports events that can be covered for next to nothing and some cheap to broadcast highlight and magazine shows of other bigger events (Champions League, Heineken Cup etc.)

TG4 is actually the most involved Irish sports broadcaster at the moment since the demise of RTE able to retain any broadcasting rights, which is a sh*t one for the 99.5% of us who don't speak Irish..

If you visit the site, it's clearly Magnet. Freeview? Ask RTE and nor aertv.

They wouldn't be able to afford it.

Droim Iarainn personal insults are not welcome around here and you will be banned if I see it again.

This forum is not the place to discuss the merits and demerits of the Irish language.

As for an Irish sports channel, we have two, Setanta Ireland and Setanta Sports 1.

How are the blocking VPN's, how do they even know your behind a VPN?

    Edit

Just tried it, blocked behind my vpn but fine over 3G, the VPN server I'm using is in New Jersey...I'm confused as to why its blocked.

AerTV consumes a **** load of interwebby. I'm sure the VPN providers didn't anticipate video usage.

Over the VPN, the VPN providers usage doubles [one stream in, one stream out]. That's a lot of traffic when you scale it up.
