    So ,ive got an invitation to a black tie ball over christmas.

    Ever been to one?
    Are they stuffy affairs or a bit of craic?

    nomally gd craic... but hey, guess depends what it is in connection with... but nver really been to a bad one!!! think it makes the girls dress up even more...
    and in a way i suppose when every one looks gd everyone feels gd..and youve only got urself to blame if you dont make an impession ;-)

    Sounds like the fashion police will not like you for not wearing a black tie. Be rebellous, dress casual, dress your own way instead of some old fashioned upsticky nonsense!

    What's it in aid of?

    Sports club benefit...it will be the exact same as a mad wedding reception.

    Charity fundraiser...it will be the exact same as a wedding reception , once the charity stuff is out of the way.

    They can start off a bit too formal and stuffy but as the night rolls on people relax and inhibitions go. I love a classy function in an upmarket joint, especially the chance to dress like a gentleman. Women like dressing up and being noticed and I do too by turning out in flawless evening attire.
