Laptop recommendation

Hi folks looking to buy a laptop for the oh for Xmas. She is into photography so would need a decent hard drive size for storing pics and the relevant spec to run adobe essentials and photoshop. She Qs thinking of a mac but not sure if they are worth the extra cost or better than a generic dell laptop . Any recommendations…
