If a truck was parked in the car park of a public house

Truck was broken into and maliciously set on fire.

Is there any possibility of making a claim if the insurance of the truck did not cover fire?

    Thanks.

Thought the minimum insurance was third party fire and theft?

The minimum insurance required by law is 3rd party only. If Fire & Theft was required as a minimum, the term wouldn't exist because all policies would include it.

    Owner of the truck.

You need to be a bit more clear about your role in this, I assumed when reading your post that you owned the truck and were wondering could you claim from the pub owner.

What damage did you suffer and how do you propose to establish/prove/show culpability on the part of the truck owner?

Sorry. I wasn't clear. Yes, I was wondering if, as a truck owner, you are just unlucky when your truck is set alight and the insurance doesn't cover. I don't know if the owner of the truck has a claim against the pub owner. The truck is parked on a regular basis in the car park of that public house
I suppose the only way you could claim is by hoping that the guards find the person who set fire to the truck.

    Thanks for your reply.
