    Hey all

Right so the situation in short is this
I'm in CIT doing interior architecture, finding it to be a load of balls, came from a course previously in dun laoghaire, lecturers in CIT are pure utter w@nkers, telling everyone they have no creativity, imagination and shouldnt be doing the course, every studio they feel they have to remind us, they criticize everything, and expect people to figure out stuff for themselves without been shown, examples would be how to work the rise and going of stairs, theres no encouragement given and all feedback is pure negativity, these guys are only in second year and they expect final year stuff from them, its making us all hate what we do and its effecting our work and ourselves.

I was planning on moving to dit anyways after this but their attitudes have sped up my decision, anyways, whats the lecturers like in the architecture dept? technicians too, do they run you guys into the ground or give constructive criticism and encouragement or is this a general thing?

Also sorry if I'm ranting, just giving you the story

    Thanks

I did architectural technology a few years back, and i found all the lecturers to be friendly and helpful. they're not going to spoon feed you (its 3rd level education after all) but they'll help anyone who's stuck. i cant speak to the architecture or interior architecture courses though.

similar case to journeyman with architecture. of course you have the odd one through it who can be a wanker, people will get ripped apart from time to time (the very odd dose of crying) but for the most part everyone is helpfull. and even when they are being **** its about drowning it out and pulling the valid points they make out (they do exist in there, just need to filter it)
