From my experience, one of the nicest hot dogs in Galway is from the Kebab House down near the Roisin Dubh. I was quite drunk anytime I was there though ..

The point is we're having a lads day out so taking him out for what he wants is part of the occasion.

What about Salt n Pepper? Other choices nearby?

Joachim at the Sunday market at St Nicholas's, he does the genuine German version and they are damn nice.

If you're at the Saturday market try a boerewors, not for everyone though.
In Salthill, not sure, maybe Bangers and Mash from Oslo or Galleon?

salt and pepper do hotdogs, they are not gourmet hotdogs but perfect for a child I would say. the Boerwors mentioned above are fantastic but a bit much for a child with spices etc.

That's the south african beef sausage I think. Boerie rolls or something?

Sunday market also occasionally has a German dude doing bratwurst which is tasty.

Been ages since I've had a daycent hotdog!

I love those boerie rolls. The guy that does them is a sound chap as well.
