    Hi
Have to move pig pen, post & sheep wire, with barbed on top & bottom.

    2 questions
Do ye cut the wire on strainers or pull staples, pulling damages wire which will break when reused, ??

How do ye pull up posts, used rope on loader for some ?

    A

tis a bit of a pain taking wire down - it wont break but the sheep wire would be in a fair mess,
use a rope with a dull on it on either the lift arms or on the front loader

Use an awl under stapples to release the wire then chain around the stakes and lift with loader. If you dont have an awl take a bit of reebar heat the end and taper down to a point then adda little curve to the end cool in oil to harden the point.

We've an old pin from a horse drawn rake that's ideal for pulling staples. Hit it in with a hammer and lever them out. It won't damage the wire. Use loader and lifting belt to pull up posts.

The oul lad used to use the finger of an old pierce finger bar mower ;) Manys the fence we took down when making pits out the field.

Once barbed wire fences go up now, we don't take them down!
