Yep should be a handy diy job.

Its just like a firebrick in a normal open fire.

You take out the old one,and install a new one.

i think the stove is just planted into the fireplace with no (optional ) rear flue connector pipe fitted-doesn't seem right?

was that way when i bought the place?

I has a good look inside an Stanley Oisin stove today in the local builders providers.

Its just a free standing firebrick set.

2 side pieces and 1 curved back piece, they all interlock into each other.

Piece of pi55 to replace them.:)

I have one of these myself and had to replace the same fire brick before. It's fairly handy to do. I think you may have to take all the bricks out. A good opportunity to give it a good cleaning. You should be able to get the part in your local Stanley Stove dealer.
