Was looking at kits that sit on top of the slab and laminate floors sit directly on that. Like http://www.nu-heat.co.uk/s.nl/it.A/id.1357/.f?sc=15&category=8838 . Any experience out there of these types of kits?

Hello Dan,
should work well. I have used other types of one room ufh packs and all worked very well. Make sure you can connect into at min 3/4" pipe work. If it is a conservatory no harm to leave a few pipes for a rad or two as well. UFH sometimes cannot give out enough heat for a high roofed conservatory in the winter.
