    County Jerseys v Supporter Jerseys

I love the feel of wearing a well fitted county jersey(i dont play for the county!) as opposed to the regular baggy supporter ones you buy in a shop...

But apart from maybe showing off the physique of the player and having the jerseys tighter so that they are harder for opposition to grab...

Is there any other advantages to these "Slim Fit"/"Player Fit" jerseys?

At one stage the players jerseys used to have the 'koolite' material in them, but from looking at the o'neills websites the regular ones have them now too.

So your question is apart from the reason they are tight fitting why are they tight fitting

I noticed that Kilkenny never went over to the player fit. Not sure why that is, but they do use a normal loose fitting jersey.

Our team got a set of away jerseys last year and decided on player fit. It was a good idea for some players, but for a junior hurling squad I think it's best not to go down that road tbh! Definitely none of the teams we were playing against had player fit, and now that I think about it, I don't think too many club teams at any level use them.

Personally, I like them in May or June, but around February they're a bit more revealing than I'd like.

For us less slender fans, the supporters jersey is tight enough as it is!

Their intimidating enough to play says they :) Looking at Padraic Maher and Michael Cussen there now i think even a loose fitting shirt would be tight on them. Huge men. Like Rugby players to look at.

Michael Cussen wears that Large jersey like a belly top, at 6'7 and probably well over 17 stone he'd want a XXL for loose fit!
