Events to enter 2013?

After a lazy post marathon week I'm trying to figure out what events to enter in 2013 to keep myself disiplined and not let my training lag.

So far i have the Movember run saturday week
    Aware 10k in December

then nothing until the Great Ireland Run on my birthday in April :-)

Following that I plan to do the 2013 DCM but may be tempted to give Berlin a try in September?

As you can see loads of gaps, so looking for advice on good races to run. My main aim is to set/break PB's in all distances and secondly an enjoyable race.

So anyone any advice, feel free to impart it!

I presume your close to Dublin with the races your running listed above. Theres the Altidore Trail 10km on 16th of Feb '13 good hill training over 10km. The Meath Spring Half Marathon in Bohermeen, Meath on 3rd of March '13, super race and ideal course for half marathon pb.

    Raheny 5 mile January 27th
MSB 5k (Dublin city centre) March 10th
and check out the BHAA calendar - if you're in Dublin they are regular, well-organised, and cheap. Annual membership is well worth it.

SOLD OUT: 40,000 runners registered for the 2013 BMW BERLIN MARATHON within three and a half hours

    Good luck with that!

Was about to say BHAA myself, of course there is now a free 5km run every week in Malahide with the parkrun if you are ever short of something to do.

There are a load or 10 miles and half marathons early next year, looking at one or two of them in March.

If I was to urge other posters to try one event next year I'd urge you to try a race in the track at the Dublin graded league. Numbers rising every year, appropriate standard for every runner and you might like it! How many more 5/10ks are you going to run? Try an 800 or a mile and discover your inner pre!
