    Does anyone know how long it takes to for the tracking number from an post to appear on their website? I posted a package by registered post at about 1.20pm and am trying to track it, but I keep getting the message:

    "Our Item Tracking system has not recognised the number(s) that you have entered. Please check that you have entered the correct number(s), or we may not have yet received this item"

    I am entering the correct tracking number...how long should I wait before it appears??? Im worried as the item was valued at €600 and my buyer needs to be able to track it to.

    It may not appear until later tonight when procesed through the central mail sorting. (It should but not always show as being scanned into the post office when their bag is collected) No need to panic just yet. :)

    ah thats ok, i know it will take time...if it takes 24-48 hours for the tracking number to appear, sure he will have received it by then. im hoping he gets it tomorrow.

    Yes, but you are not paying so you can see where it is at any time. You are paying for guaranteed delivery [or to know who signed for it for an extra charge]
