I recently got a sky+ box to use for viewing the free to air channels.
I had assumed that i would be able to use this box to record, but when i try to record something it's asking me to insert the sky viewing card.
Is there any way that i can use this box to record a program without having a viewing card?

Sky will want €10 a month for you to use the record/pause/ffs/rw functions.

That or get your own Recordable FTA box.
