Hamstring strengthening exercises

Quick question. Anybody got a link or pdf to a good set of strengthening exercises for a weak hamstring. I've a minor weakness in my right hammer that is the result of over racing a number of years back. I will go and see a physio about it but in the meantime I'll try a few things myself. I never pulled it but definitely strained it and it has literally been a pain in the arse since. Don't ask me why but apart from stretching I've never looked into a set of exercises to work on the weakness. Ecoli mentioned it to me last week and it was a dime bar moment. I've done a quick search online and found some exercises but would be interested to hear from somebody who may have used them in the past.

Try doing Goodmornings. I find them good for strengthening the hamstring. Lot of the guys in the club here swear by them. Put some weight on the shoulders though to get proper benefit and obviously ease into them.

Definitely get a physio to have a look. I had hamstrings issues last year that ended up been problems with my glutes not firing correctly. Even if thats not the case physio should be able to give more specific exercises in relation to your weakness.

Great advice here, repeated hamstring tears/strains are rarely from an isolated weakness in the hamstring. Massive chance of underactive glutes and/or anterior pelvic tilt putting extra work on the hamstring as a hip extensor. Strengthening probably wont do any harm, but deffo get a physio to look at it to determine the root cause.

I'd actually try yoga if I were you. Im doing ashtanga and its really good for hammers. Actually really good for every muscle you have.
