Hi there. I have just completed my law degree in GCD and am thinking about doing the kings inn entrance exams net year. Just wondering if anybody here is able to hold down a part time job along with college or have you to give up everything. I understand the course is very strict with regards to attendance and that it is very intense.

Also when it comes to deviling for a year, is it paid or unpaid? Does it start directly when you finish in Kings Inn in June or October when the courts resume after the summer break? Many Thanks!!

About a bazzilion threads on this.

It's unpaid although some masters pay your Law Library fees. In deference to Mr NoQuarter I have been careful with my wording this time! :D

At least half hold down part time jobs during the BL degree. Just make sure you dont miss more than 10% of classes (which works out around 22 classes).
