Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

HDMI Issue with Humax Foxsat HDR and Panasonic TX-P42S30B

    Hi guys,

Any help on this would be most appreciated.

Took delivery of Foxsat and connected it up with HDMI cable. Tried all 3 HDMI connections on tv. No picture or sound via HDMI.

Tried yellow, red and white leads into AV2. This worked fine.

Had a look around internet and suggestion was restoration of factory settings on Humax. Did this and immediately HDMI connection worked. Turned off tv and had same problem next time I started tv. Don't fancy constant factory resets and feel that HDMI should work.

Saw somewhere else that handshaking was the problem but no fix was mentioned.

    Any ideas?

    Handshaking is the problem.

Always make sure your TV is turned on before your Box is (and I mean at the switch). That will resolve your issue.

    Hi, Thanks for quick reply.

Turned off both tv and box. Turned off both switches at wall. Tv on followed by box. No change. Problem still there.

Switched cable on tv from Hdmi 2 to 1. Tv automatically switched to HDMI 1 so looks like it recognised something was happening but still no picture or sound.

I have also tried a different Hdmi cable!

Is the box updated in terms of hardware/software? IIRC Humax addressed the handshake issue in an update.

Otherwise try pressing the V-format button the remote and cycle through the options to see if that makes any difference.

Or you you could try Menu>TV Setup> HDCP Default and change from Enable to Disable or vice versa to see if that makes a difference.

    Hi,

    Software is latest version.

Tried cycling through the V Formats. Enabled and disabled the HDCP. Still no go.

Connected box to tv with scart and worked fine too. HDMI only output not working.

Borrowed another Foxsat. Worked fine. Disappointed that brand new kit faulty. Returning it.
