    Hi,

Am just back from Canada from a 1 year visa and be on the dole for a month now. I was looking at the jobbridge scheme as I want to get work in the IT area and believe this is my best option as I have only a IT degree and 6 month work experience. For be to be eligible I must be 3 months on the dole.

My question should I sit and wait for the 3 months are just look for any job going and hope to break into IT,

Why can't you do both? (If JB's the way you want to go...)

I was told that I had to be 3 months full time unemployed.
    Is this not the case?

You do. What I meant was: Why can't you look for a job in the meantime? You never know, you might get lucky and then have no need of Jobbridge.

What were you working at before for those 6 months exp? You should try to get into a junior IT job by using the domain knowledge you learned while working.
If you already have 6 months exp in IT it may be a bit pointless doing the internship though. there should be 0-1 years exp jobs out there that you already can apply for.. even after the internship you'll still only have 0-1 years experience so what makes you think you'll be more employable?
