Played it few months ago. Paid €80 too.....the tee boxes were sanded and a few of the greens were in a bad way. The rest of the course was in good shape. Fcuking joke asking for €80 though.

I played it with a society (about 20 of us). They wouldn't budge on the price which is fair enough. If we knew the tee boxes were in that shape, we wouldn't have played. Won't go back.

sorry it's not more recent.....the course is probably in alot better shape now.

Yes we tried Society last year and they wouldn't budge on price either. Very disappointing. Playing it with My Golf Society on Thursday.

If they won't budge on price & you feel like you're overpaying, then why play there? There's plenty of options in the Adare area...

Think they just book your societies outings for you.
You give them them the list of courses and dates you want to play.
It works(meant to work) on the basis that they get a better discount, by representing numerous soc's, than you would on your own.
They get a kick back from the clubs/take a % of the savings and that goes to cover the service they provide by arranging/negotiating with the clubs.

Haven't used it but that's my understanding.

They are offering a deal on the website including a competition at the moment for 49.50 Euro with the overall winners getting a fourball golfing week-end in Turnberry plus golf on the championship course. Worth a lot of gold. The dates are from last year but I believe the deal is on again now and it is 45 Euro per player. Played it last week and the course was in generally good order with a few damp areas, but the weather was not kind for a few days before I played. The greens had been pole forked but were nearly fully back. Rough was tough.

Adare Golf Club - Winter Golf Challenge

    Entry fee €49.50 per person

Play on the selected dates, the best two teams from each day will qualify to play in the

Grand Final at Adare Golf Club at no extra cost

The grand prize is a golfing weekend for four at Turnberry, A Luxury Golf Collection Resort, Scotland

    Qualifying Dates:

    January: 23rd & 30th

    February: 6th, 13th & 25th March: 11th Grand Final: 20th March

Anyone on here looking to put in a team and got a free spot let me know. Played it once a few years back and would love another go.

Played the Winter Challenge last Sunday. It's one score to count on the first 17 holes and all 4 to count on 18. We ended up with 50 points. 53 points won it but we still made the final in April aa there is a "lucky loser" draw too which we manage to win :)

The course is very soft which is expected. Placing everywhere.
Greens were very nice and very fast.
