Eye Test on medical card??

    Just wondering can i get my eye test on medical card, my driving licence is up at end of month but because i wear glasses i need an eye test, if it is on it do i just ring my local eye test people,

    You may get one eye test every 2 years on the medical card.Go into the opticians of your choice fill in the form they will post it away for you,when the medical card people approve the test they will notify you.

    A GP can sign you off for the eye test requirement for driving licence.

    Non-medical card people wouldn't take this option though as it costs more to see a GP than optometrist. But since you've free GP its probably a straightforward option if you are in a hurry.

    Since you wear glasses though you might as well get a proper eye test from the optometrist using the way suggested.
