    Hi folks - quick question:
Heading over to Cheltenham next Friday, flying to Birmingham on Ryanair flight.
Booked to fly back to Dublin on Sunday morning @ 12.20 (bit early i know and only Saturday's racing taken in but flight prices later in the day were crazy)... anyway, can somebody please advise what's the best way to get back to Birmingham airport in time for say 11.30 at the latest?
Anyone know about bus/train times etc?

    Thanks in advance
    Jayo ;)

Trains are very regular on this route and you shouldn't have to wait longer than 40 minutes, and its about 45 mins travel time to Birmingham New Street and you shouldn't be waiting long for a train passing the airport (maybe 20 mins). Depending on train speed, it can be 5-20 mins.

    Enjoy the racing!!

Starline cabs about 60stg. Share with 2 others if you can and it's much the same cost as train/transfers. You'll be picked up at your door and dropped at the departures hall.

That's a decent price. It's just over £100 on the meter (as I once painfully found out).

    Well Lads,

Heading over next Friday morning - flying into Bristol for around 9:30.
Anyone any idea what is the quickest & best value to get to Chelthenham.

Bus into Bristol (are these regular) and get the train from there?

    Appreciate any responses.

    Thanks

if you get a bus from airport to bristol temple meads train station get on a train to cheltenham the journey will take about an hour.and the best bet would get a taxi from cheltenham spa to the race-course which will take about 10-15 minutes

Definitely the cheapest & short of hiring a car or hackney, the quickest route.

Bus costs £7 single or £10 return, something like that. 20 mins bus ride so not cheapest but the bus is very regular. There should be one just outside the arrivals hall on your right hand side.

Trains every hour or so. I've never had to wait at Temple Mead train station more than 30 minutes. If you find yourself with some spare time, you can quench your thirst in the nearby Witherspoons. Costs about £17 one way for the train. Some are faster than others but should be no longer than an hour (depends on number of scheduled stops).

    Enjoy the trip!

Pretty decent brekkie here as well which will set you up for the day!

Just wondering if anyone who has been to Cheltenham has gone to Birmingham after it for a night out? Or has anyone suggestions on where to go afterwards? Planning on going to Gold Cup Day next year!
