I acquired a lovely colnago yesterday (many thanks to wav1) and need a couple of bits.

7 speed screw on cassette for dura ace hub but it will work with campag running gear
Chain that will work with campag 7 spd
    Campag record rear brake lever
    Seat bolt
    Stem bolt
    Front brake cable adjuster
    27 1/4 tubs

Think thats all I need for the moment.
If you have anything that will suit let me know.

    Thanks, lenny

I might have a 7 speed screw on cassette for you L. I'll have a look in the shed(it might be a 6). May also have a Sedisport chain that should fit(both late 80's with feck all(tm) miles) but it'll be for English threads(on a Campag hub no less). Check what the hub says, because threaded hubs came with all sorts of thread standards back in the day depending on market and so long as they fit all will work with Shimano/Campag/Huret/Mavic/whatever drivetrains or any mix of them. The Shimano/campag incompatibility along manufacturer lines came later. The numbers should be written on the flange on the thread side of the hub.

Unless you get lucky L the seat post binder bolt and what looks like a Cinelli stem bolt ebay is probably your better bet. I'd reckon binder bolts shouldn't run you much more than 15-20 quid.

Sorry L I checked and unfortunately the cogs I have are all 6 speed so no use to you.

no problem wibbs, thanks for looking anyway. I did some research on the bike, and it looks like its an early 90's colnago super, with croc d'aune front and rear derailer, super record crankset, (not sure on BB), chorus lever (i only have one) and victory brake calipers. Not sure what the shifters are. Cinelli bars and stem. the wheels are 700c rvr tub rims, with dura ace 36h hubs. Its mostly all there, i should be able to find the bits online somewhere. Looking forward to riding it. Might even try a race or two on it. The bike has previously won races according to the guy I got it from (wav1). I think he said it won the junior championship in the early 90s.

The super record crank is kinda the odd man out L. Gorgeous crankset, a real icon and can go for nice money, but more an early 80's(and before) style. At the time maybe it came with a croce d aune crank? Makers did mix and match from the same stable and even beyond. I've seen 80's factory Olmo's with campag running gear, but with shimano hubs and brakes, buuut with campag brake levers. Campagnlo C-record would look sweeeeet on that*. Pricey tho.

I'll have a further dig around L as I was 99% sure I had a Maillard 7 speed cogset. I've a big shed so... I did find two chains though. A regina and a sedi gold. I'll check the stretch on them after I clean them up.

*I've a c record crank and fit and finish wise it makes my newly acquired athena 11 speed crank look like it was put together in someone's shed.

If you are looking for old parts, you should take a look on retrobike.co.uk. Look through the classifieds and there is a also a wanted forum. I'm pretty sure you will find what you need there.
