    Anyone know why there is a random Audi sign (full metal official one) plonked outside O'Briens Renault on the Waterford road in Kilkenny? Small construction works going on there also.

    laharts Beside Renault used to have Audi so I assume it was there sign and they never took it down. Apparently Audi took the dealership as they wanted Audi Waterford to serve the Kilkenny area. So its highly highly unlikely that the Renault garage got an Audi dealership if that's what you were hinting at. And the new building there building on is tiny so I'd say it is just a small add on to the showroom.

    No but the sign is not in the confines of Laharts, it's in the front of the Renault garage and on their land. And is a recent addition.
    Laharts removed their Audi branding ages ago, clearly nothing to do with them.

    I live near the garages so I must have a look when I'm home in kilkenny at the weekend as I'm in college in cork at the minute. They must be fairly new as i never noticed them and I pass by the garages every time I drive home. ill have a look on friday. I don't know how obriens would get a audi dealership when audi said they wanted to reduce the amount of dealerships they have in ireland.

    Anthony Boland owns O'Brien Renault in KK, he's probably got Audi now too

    I never knew that i thought there was someone with a second name obrien in the garage and assumed he owned it. I assume when you say boland you mean the guy with all the bolands garages in waterford and carlow etc.

    It will be an Audi used car outlet.

    The same Mr Boland owns Audi Waterford too though, wouldn't make sense opening a Dealer in KK.

    The Boland family own a lot of franchises in the South East, even own the Renault distribution rights for the area.

    So is this a new car dealership or is it secondhand stuff? "Audi Kilkenny" signs up on the showroom;

    I'm not sure. Waterford is not particularly central. Audi used to have dealers in a quadrangle including Kilkenny, Carlow (Sheehys), Athy (Maxwells) and Portarlington (Moores). Those customers are not all thast likely go to Waterford, though I'm sure some would go to Audi in Naas.
    Though I think the "Audi Kilkenny" dealer does not look as good even as the showrooms Laharts had previously.
