I think this is a virus/executable as there is no info on google. It was created on a date and time that coincides with when my machine locked up.

I tried to delete using DOS commands but its 'access denied' and 'write protected'.

Anyone recommend a program to remove it?

Boot up in Safe Mode with Network support and upload the file to VirusTotal.

Right click on the file, select Properties and see if it has any information there that you recognise, like company name

Zero hits on google is generally not a good thing though

You can put whatever you want in the field when creating the file.

Boot from a live disc, mount your drive and delete it / upload to VirusTotal then delete it.

Tell us how you get on.

Also if the EXE is running, it cant be deleted as Windows does not allow for writing to/deleting files loaded in memory by another process
