Hey guys .
Anybody know if a solar filter is available for a Celestron Astromaster 130?

And if there is what price am I expecting to pay .

yes there is.
to see prominences etc. you would need a H-alpha filter...to buy one of those for your scope you would probably need to sell your house or you could buy a designated refeactor like coronado range which still cost a lot...
realisticly on a budget you could buy a white light filter like a thousand oaks one which costs around 60 bucs or DIY with baader solar film which going to cost you about 15 euro.
but with that one you will be able to see only sun spots...
and if you dont want to spend any money at all there is always EP projection method (just google).
