    Hi,

A relative fo mine has bought one of these TV's. I can find no information on them on the internet except from Power City website (this TV was bought in Co. Antrim).

What is the background of this company and how do I get to their website?

This TV has USB ports for an external storage device for the on board recorder. I assume these ports will still be USB 2.0?

This was the device I was thinking of getting for storage:

Thanks for any help in advance!

Thanks for digging that out. However (not meaning to be rude) but that site does not contain any info that I can see on the Nordmende TV apart from a listing of models. Their own website (www.nordmende.ie) has a brochure listing white goods and no TV's.

A bit of a strange set up...

Nordmende are distributed by KAL. www.kal.ie

The sets are made by Vestel. If you contact KAL you should be able to get the informatoin you need.

Does the user instructions not incl details on the USB port?

Thanks for the reply. I've not got the set it was for a relative who asked me but is a bit of a technophobe.

I ordered the above USB and it will have to do...

Does anyone know where I would get a list of remote control codes for this TV? I want to control the TV via a TVonics HD Freeview box. However, the closest code I can get will not turn off the TV or adjust the volume

The best I can find is http://soapdrama.co.uk/codes/. However, as stated above I cannot find one which will provide the full functionality.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Vestel make Noremende.

Take the back off the remote for the Noremende and get the RCU no. Google it. You will get the exact code.

In the meantime here are the Noremende Tv Codes. You will have to try one by one until you get one that allows all functionality (unless the remote allows teaching mode).

Thanks, but I thought I needed a three digit code. The weblink I posted above only contains three digit codes for the TVOnics box whose remote I'm trying to use to control the TV.

    Drop the first zero so!

I dont know much about Tvonics products other than they went into liquidation earlier this year afaik.

Does the remote not have a learning function ? If not you will find it difficult to get full functionality.

They have been bought out by Pulse-Eight who do a lot of XBMC stuff, so they should have a bright future.

    Nope. I can try...!

Sorted. I typed the first Vestel code in the soap drama website (083) and it works!

Thanks to those who suggested trying the Vestel codes. :D
