Vista repair

    Got a vista sp2 DVD to attempt repair of vista on my laptop. When i run it i only get option to install ?! I was hoping to access the repair facility?

    Does the DVD match the version (e.g. Home Premium 32 bit) which is installed on your laptop?

    As i recall it did, i will do a recheck on that.

    Normally you you should see the repair option at the bottom left corner when you boot from a Vista DVD. Hit Cancel during Startup Repair, this will get you to the Advanced Repair Options.

    yeah, you should see 'Install' option in the middle of the screen once you've booted to the Vista DVD, but under that at bottom left you should see 'Startup Repair'
