    Hi guys,

I swapped from vodafone bill pay to three pay as you go but when you put in the new sim card it works for a while, and then an R comes up in the signal area.

Does anyone know if have yo sim unlock the phone or if there's a different issue I've to resolve?

    Cheers!

The "R" in the signal area means you are roaming. When Three's 3G network is unavailable it "roams" to the Vodafone 2G network. This happens automatically and Three provide this service free of charge.

That R means roaming I think. You're out of the three coverage area, and are on somebody else's network. No issue for calls.

Give Three customer care a shout or post on their forum here saying you cannot make calls and tell them the message you're getting when you try.
