Myself and my hunting buddy just got back from a week long hunting trip up in Tehama County . We had a great time hunting some really rough country . I got a small two pointer on the fifth day , neck shot at about 175 yards , dropped in its tracks . I've got a lot to do so i'll post a few picture's now and the rest when I get the chance . The bear was shot on the first day of the season by a guy who was staying in deer camp with us , saw the whole thing through my binoculars .

Some more photos from hunting trip . We were hunting in the G1 zone in Tehama County on a private ranch of about 1500 acres that backs up to the Ishi Wilderness . Part of the wilderness is open to hunting so we had a lot of land to hunt on . It's pretty tough country to hunt but it's well worth it , by the time we left we had seven bucks and one bear in camp and there were a lot of missed opportunities .
The weather was a little warm and it was a full moon for that week so the herd we were hunting were slow to move down from the mountains and those that did fed at night and laid up during the day so we had to work the creeks and canyon's .
We had rain on Wednesday night and on Thursday morning myself and my hunting buddy went out to hunt an area called The Tub's . I decided to take a rest and as I was sitting under a tree I spotted a doe and buck moving along a trail . I watched them move through one clearing and decided that if they moved through the next clearing I would take a shot .
As the buck stepped into the clearing behind the doe I laid the cross-hair's on his neck and squeezed the trigger and a 180 grain 30-06 round did it's job . That was about 9.10am and we packed it up the ridge to the rhino , drove back to camp and dressed it out .

    Serious land there
Was it part of a hunting package ie flights accommodation?

No ,we drove up from San Francisco to Tehama County . The hunt was on private land we had been invited to hunt on . All we had to do was pay for our own supplies . After parking on a cattle ranch near a town called Vina we took the rhino and drove ( very slowly ) on a trail for about three hours to get to the deer camp .
