So the story continues with Peach, the wonderful scabby cat. Had her at the vet 3 weeks ago to get her vaccines and couldn't do it as she had infected patches on her hips and belly and she got a long lasting antibiotic injection to clear it up. So we went back for a check up a week ago, the infection cleared well but there were still patches on her so she was started on ovarid. Basically it's like the pill for animals, I'm not entirely sure I understand the science behind how it works for skin conditions, but there ya go, I'm still only a student :P Anyway, we're down from giving it every second day to now giving twice a week, then it will be once a week but she really does seem to be improving. The big weeping sores have cleared from her hips, now she only has the tiniest dots of scabs, and the red/crustiness of her belly/nipples has all but vanished :D Only thing is it's introducing hormones she forgot she had after she got neutered! She has gotten really soft, and had been glued to me, being extra loving. She's also walking around the house constantly meowing, like an un-neutered queen calling :pac: Poor deluded creature!

Has anyone had any experience of using this for dermatitis? Did the problem permanently clear up after the course, and was your animal extra loving? (I have a fear that it may just be my freaky lady :p)
