    Hey folks,

just wondering how would I go about getting a VRT figure for a car which is not listed on the revenue website.

It has CO2 emissions of 174g (1.8T petrol and MY2012) and will be in Band E so will attract a rate of 28%. I can't find an OMSP for the car however unless I use the UK price.

I've emailed info@vrt.ie but haven't heard anything back. The NCT center advised I email that address.

    Anyone know any better

If there are similar cars you can estimate by comparison. On Revenue website there is VRT Manual and section 8 explains how they arrive at value of cars, it is quite interesting read, for example some boundary conditions mean that car value is increasing with age!

I've heard back from revenue and now have an estimate.

As a side note the MG6 diesel went out to motoring journalists today however there has been a ban on reporting anything about it for now so there are no details available.
