    Hi all
Going on a two week holidays to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in December.
Do I need to do anything before going with respect to visas or anything?
Also, as they all seem to use different currencies what is the best thing to do about money? Are bank machines common throughout main tourist areas and do they work with irish cards?
    Thanks!

not sure what you mean by "irish cards", but if you have an ATM card that has either Cirrus, laser or maestro on it, then you can withdraw from ATMs that have those symbols on them. Also, a credit card is useful to pay for accommodation, etc...

In Cambodia they mainly use dollars, so bring some with you, or you can withdraw dollars from an ATM at the airport or I'd image your point of entry. Most touristy towns have plenty of ATMs around. If you can't find one, just get a tuk-tuk and he'll bring you to one no problem.
Thailand uses Baht, which you can withdraw from an ATM and in Laos you can withdraw the Kip for an ATM as well.

You'll need to get an e-visa for Cambodia before travelling, but you'll need to know your date of entry as you only get 30 days on your visa from that date. Some people had got it in Thailand as well, takes about a day I believe. Thailand doesn't require a visa and in Laos you can get visa on arrival, costs something like $36. You'll need to bring crisp new dollars with you for that and 2 passport photos or else pay for those there. It's only 1 or $2 though.
