JSB and doing casual gardening work

Neighbour asked me today if I could come over early in morning to help them move tree that fell on their driveway. This may be a days work with chainsaw or a few days work if they want other damage fixed.

Not sure if I can start work and then inform SW, or ring them during the day, or tell them when I go to sign on.

I am in receipt of JSB.

    Thanks

Inform the social that you got a days work, usually done the day after in your local office.

    Will do.
Got paid in firewood, which suits me.
    Will mention to SW anyway.

The rule of thumb is, if you do work that you would normally be paid for, you need to declare it.
