Square root of an infinite series?

    How can you take the square root of an infinite series and express it as another series?

    Not something I've thought about before, but perhaps you could come at it using the Cauchy product: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cauchy_product

    The only meaningful way to interpret the problem is, I think, that you're looking for a series such that the Cauchy product of it with itself gives the terms of the series you're trying to find the "square root" of.
