    Guys,

Are any of you experiencing a poor picture on Sky SportsHD on UPC? I have a tech coming out to look at it on Wednesday....I'm getting pixelated halos on the players heads in the footie, also a fair bit of image breakup.

Had the same myself a while back, check the signal strength and quality in the settings, mine was low.

The coax cable they supply is ****e, I changed out the white one with some decent stuff and the picture is better than ever.

To be honest this a tech problem on their end, nothing to do with any local connections....a lot of people are complaining about this.

The West Brom match has a terrible picture...yet again.

have two upc boxes myself one HD

Noticed during the last wek or two on the HD box on sky sports during live matches the pictures jumps for a split second or less, makes a lous screeching noise and sometimes the images break up.

I checked the leads, cables etc seem fine, the other non hd box is working fine. Happened again in the wba v southampton match, is this the same problem as you guys are having?

Just an update. I had 2 sierra guys come out to look at the problem, they replaced all the wiring and the wall connection........the problem is still there!

Really thinking of cancelling UPC at this stage. To make matters worse, when they upgraded my account to Sky Sports HD they took me off my existing package.....giving me a massive bill for this month. Attempts to get this rectified have so far failed. Will have to make a decision soon!

Just got a text from UPC saying the issue has been resolved. I'll check out the picture quality when I get home to confirm.

Have to admit I was watching a game there on ESPN HD last saturday and felt the picture was very poor compared to its normal standard.

Think we are getting dupped by HD to be honest, in my eyes HD should be standard these days on all tv's and we shouldnt have to pay extra to watch better quality picture, this should have just been improved with age.

As we always harp back you cant beat UPC for Price and Options no matter how poor the HD channels may be.

should be sorted though especially as we are paying for it.

I've had the same problem with some specific channels on UPC. Channels though that we'd rarely watch.

    Solution was changing to Sky.

I got a text last two days ago from UPC, saying the issue has been resolved. Only got a chance last night to watch Sky Sports HD and the problem is still there. I'll have to phone UPC this afternoon.

I'm going to call them aswell, the picture is terrible and just not acceptable as an excuse for hd.

My UPC HD is the same.

Its mainly noticeable when watching football. When the players move they go kind of fuzzy. Sorry cant think of a better word to describe it.

I have arranged for a call out next week. The picture quality on the rugby on SS1 HD is shocking today.

Their techs did nothing for me when they called out....all they could suggest was that the problem is coming from the UPC side

Starting to see it now, does everything that moves seem all pixily and you kinda see a little fuzz trail when anything moves?
