I have just received a promotion to HR Director in a new country and I would like your advice on how to sell my brand and how I can make an impact fast. I am comfortable enough on the HR side of it but more concerned about positioning myself as a strategic HR partner. any advice would be great - thanks!

How to sell your brand? Keep to plain English would be first advice.

Make sure you attend the management meetings. Don't make suggestions for the sake of it.

Your first priority is to ensure HR is running at its optimum. Instead of jumping in to make a big impression, sit back for a while and watch the senior management dynamics play out.
