Ive got ones on the outside of my sitting room window that bring their catches into a nest thing like that. I presumed it was the 'larder', but maybe they sleep in there too?

Why not open it up and see?

    Spiders are our allies.

If you kill spiders then a plague of flies upon all your houses.

I still wouldn't fancy that hatching out in my living room! To the garden with it!

How do I get rid of it without killing them?

I far rather spiders in the house than flies. We have a double height ceiling with 4 velux windows in our kitchen/living room and there's always lots of flies in & on the windows. (flies love nesting in velux window vents:mad:)
Because they're so bloody high up it's impossible to clean the vent so I have to depend on the friendly spiders to keep the pesky flies at bay;)
Once the slugs don't come into the house I'm happy.

The Spiders are not insects, but in a war they will side with the insects.
