    Hi Folks,

Wondering if you could help me out. Looking for recommendations on who or where to go for a tattoo. I've a basic design found and looking for someone that could possibly improve on it after we have a chat. It's not the most complicated design in the world - think book of kells style outline with three boars in a circle. It's an nearly all just outline and was looking for someplace that could build on it with fill or shading (No colour though just gray and black). Will be for my upper arm on the shoulder. I have been to classic ink before five years ago for my first and only tattoo and found them really good.

It being 5 years though and times may have changed. This tattoo means a lot to me and will have a lot of sentimental value so I want to get as close to perfection as I can.

If you reply, thanks for reading through all that! But with the more info I give, I'm hoping the better the recommendations. Thanks! :D

Depends on your location chief. If people know where you are, they could recommend good artists in your area. Or you could say if you're willing to travel. I use a great guy in Hacketstown, Carlow called Colin Byrne. I've also used Stigmata Tau in Swords.

    Sorry - that may help!:o

Based in Dublin city centre so Swords wouldn't be an issue. Also Limerick and Galway are possibilities but only if the recommedations are strong for it!

Both Wildcat shops (Jervis St., St. Stephens Green) always churn out great work.

Since you mentioned Limerick, and all the good places in Dublin have been mentioned already, I've seen some absolutely fantastic work done in both All Star Ink in Limerick, and in Danny Bullman's (also Limerick). Haven't used them myself but have seen the work done on my friends in both places and it was fantastic.

If your coming to Limerick I'd be 100% percent behind Ross in Allstar Ink and Uli from High on Ink - both are excellent at what they do!! Ross is more colour specialising in old school but his black and grey is awesome! and Uli black and grey is amazing too!!

With regards to Danny Bullmans, Danny is no longer tattooing from there he is currently based in Vienna and I cant vouch for Tommy or Paul never been tattoo'd by either

Edit: Uli was the senior Artist in Bullmans after Danny went abroad until last year before he opened his own place!!

I know Danny's away (waiting in hope that he'll come back so I can get some work done by him myself, actually! :pac:) but from what I've seen, Paul is brilliant as well. I've never seen Tommy at work, but Paul is really great. :)

Bit OT, but I thought Danny had fecked off to Poland?
