    Hello, All.

Myself and the other half have moved into a new apartment. As per the picture attached this is our source of hot water, a water pump mechanism. I have used one of these before but over the last few years I have only used electric showers - simple and hassle free.

The time it comes on doesn't appear to accord with the setting indicated by the dial e.g. 7am.

Apart from this quandary I'm not entirely sure how it functions.

Can anyone advise on this for me please? Thanks.

the e7 switch on the right is for heating your immersion not your pump
this gives hot water at the cheaper rate
turn the off peak clock until the winter time lines up with the current time
    turn the switch to timed
this will heat your water at night and give a tank of water which should last for a day
if it runs out then turn your boost button for the desired time(this uses the dearer rate however)

    Thank you for your reply.

So, for example if one was to hit the hay at 11pm would you set the dial for 11pm (current time) with those settings until you arose? I am assuming from what you described the tank would be fully heated. At this point would it be prudent to switch it off then (as the tank is heated).
Can this be timed in advance e.g. going to bed at 11pm but wanting the heat to come on at 5am?

Sorry for all of the questions but you seem to know what you're talking about.

if you just set the dial to current time(21.41)on the winter setting
    turn the switch to timed
this will automatically switch your immersion on at the cheaper rate tonight(timer is built in)
this will give hot water for following day
there is no need to adjust anything then in the future
unless you dont require hot water(switch water heater to off)

As you say, there's no need to turn the switch off, as the settings on the heater will automatically switch on and off (as what what pertains to the cheaper rates) and as you said there's a timer built in.

Is this for every one of these water pumps? And what are the times that it comes on and off?

Why is there a need for the other numbers on the dial if you only set it at one time?

    Thanks in advance.

the on time is about midnight
    the off time about 6am

this clock is for heating water only(not pumps)

the numbers on the dial are so you can set the correct time if power ever fails

once you set the clock initially, you wont need to again
