    Hi

I have a wedding to get to in Vilinus Lithuania in April 2013.

In trying to book both Ryanair and AerLingus for the 26th April but both airlines dont have any flights for that day........that week......or month.

Can anyone shed some light on why this is please?

    Thank you

Sounds like they haven't loaded the flights yet for those dates. Not unusual if it is more than 6 months away.

Sometimes the airlines don't want to commit to routes if they don't know their frequency.
Especially with variants like fuel prices and size of the airlines fleet.

It used be season to season (per six months) but it seems in recent years the announced schedule is tighter and tighter.

Aerling cancelled all flight for the winter season their last flight is on 13th January 2013. As far as I know Ryanair is flying to Vilnius on Sundays and Tuesdays and flying to Kaunas on Fridays and some other (sorry can't remember). There is a direct bus from Kaunas airport to Vilnius you have to book it online it works out roughly as 7 euros.
They might not show those flights as both airlines are said to start flying more frequently after Winter so i would just give it some time.

Weddings (people booking for a specific date >6 months in advance) and funerals (people booking to travel today or tomorrow) are the gravy that keeps airlines happy.
